CHARLOTTE K. RENDERS
Charlotte K. Renders, age 99, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Feb. 10, 2021 at Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born July 19, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan to Clarence and Otilia (Huber) Kayser. Charlotte was an Industrial Nurse during WWII and was employed as a Registered Nurse for doctors in Southeast Michigan.
Charlotte served as a Girl Scout Leader and liked playing the piano and sewing. She and Frank, her husband of 68 years, enjoyed camping, golfing, bowling and spending time outdoors during their retirement years in Presque Isle, Michigan. Charlotte gave lighthouse tours and was known for leading aquatic exercises at Presque Isle Harbor Association until she was in her 90’s. Her German-American home cooking was unrivaled.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin G. Renders, son-in-law, Dr. Richard Nelson and five siblings. She is survived by her children, Michael (Brenda) Renders, Kathryn Nelson, Patricia (Daniel) Ugorcak and Charles (Jill) Renders, grandchildren, Michael (Joanna) Renders, Christopher Renders (Dr. Andrea Austin) and Teresa (John) Knoll.
The Funeral Mass will begin Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614.
