AMI MARIE LENNING

Ami Marie Dziesinski was born on April 29, 1976 in Pensacola, Florida to David and Diane (Garant) Dziesinski. On Aug. 21, 2004, she married Michael Lenning Jr. Ami was a member of the Alpena Swim Board. She was an active fitness instructor in the Alpena and Rogers City community for the past 10 years and owner and chef of Chez Ami for the past seven years serving hundreds of healthy meals weekly throughout the Alpena area. First and foremost, was spending time with her family. She would gather her family at her home and serve Sunday meals, bringing joy to everyone.

Surviving are her husband, Mike, daughter, Mia, mother, Diane Dziesinski, brother, Brad (Amy) Dziesinski, sister, Angie (Ed) Barz, five nieces and nephews, Hunter, Zoe, Emma, Sofie, Evelyn, grandmother, Barbara Nitchman, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ami was preceded in death by her father, David Dziesinski, grandparents, Felix and Genevieve Dziesinski and Edgar and Shirley Garant.

Visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. and continue Monday at the Alpena Free Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard George officiating. For those unable to attend the funeral will be livestreamed at bannanfuneralhome.com. In keeping with Ami’s “style” the family asks that you attend in your most comfortable clothing such as: sweatpants, hoodie, or workout clothes.
