Doris W. Bauer, 81, of Presque Isle, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate woman that will be dearly missed by all.

Doris was born on Dec. 10, 1938 to the late Willie and Almeta (Brown) France in Battle Creek, Michigan. On Sept. 22, 1978 she married the love of her life William Bauer in Marshall, Michigan. They were married and raised a family for over 30 years until his passing in 2010. Doris worked for the Michigan Home Builders Association for over 25 years until her retirement in 2010. She was also involved with the Northeast Home Builders Association for many years and extremely proud to have been a part of the organization. There were many life endeavors that came across her path and she embraced them with everything she had. From her great success with Mary Kay and her “pink” car, to her strong love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, she always gave it her all. Doris shared her love for Jesus with everyone she had the opportunity to. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was involved in many different groups.

Doris enjoyed playing the piano, learning to read music, gardening, canning vegetables from her nearly one-acre garden, and learning to speak French.

She is survived by her two children, Debbra Adair of Florida and Jeffrey Eldridge of California, five grandchildren, Julian Eldridge, Jonathan Moll, Ethan (Kasey) Moll, Adrienne Moll, and Devon Moll, two great-grandsons, and a brother Stephan (Kay) France of Michigan, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband William and a sister Vivian.

Family will receive friends for a celebration of life at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Erickson officiating. Interment will take place at Presque Isle Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
