Leon is survived by his wife, Cecilia, son, Leon, of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, daughter, Julie Louise Purta, of Presque Isle, four siblings, Kathleen Shiemke, of Washington, Beckey Andriensky, of Washington, Penny (Larry) Hebert, of Macomb, and John (Amy), of Utica, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 3:30-7 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

Visitation will resume on Monday at the Gendernalik Funeral Home in New Baltimore from 3:30-7 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 9764 Dixie Highway, Ira Township, with visiting from 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
