ROGER JOSEPH BARC

Roger Joseph Barc, 62, of Alpena, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Roger was a wonderful outdoorsman, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

He was born on March 3, 1958 to Raymond and Glen Rose (Tromblay) Pringle in Crystal Falls, Michigan. Roger was adopted and raised by Chester and Nancy Barc. Growing up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Roger learned to fall in love with all things outdoors. To say he liked to fish would be an understatement. Roger and his nephew Ernie would fish together from dawn until dusk every day possible. His love for fish continued which earned him the name of “Fish Doctor” as he was part of the weigh-in for the Brown Trout Festival for many years. He was also known for being the self-proclaimed Uber driver as he was always driving people places. Roger also enjoyed being part of “The Coffee Club” for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Connie (Tom) Werda of Alpena, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Roger’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses in care of McWilliams Funeral Home, 504 West Washington Ave. Alpena, Michigan, 49707
