LESLEY RHENA PREVOST

Lesley Rhena Prevost, 68, passed away on April 26, 2020 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City battling an extensive illness.

Lesley was born on Nov. 11, 1951 to Cassandra Law (Donajkowski) in Liverpool, England.

Lesley is survived by her three children, Dylan Prevost, of Illinois, Eric (Julia) Prevost, of Illinois, and Emily (John) Roussin, of Alpena. Her mother Cassandra Donajkowski, two brothers Gary (Ann) and Colin (Lisa) Donajkowski, one sister Gillian (Ed) Bajczyk, very close friends Adele Moore, Julie Gerow, Kathy Gapske, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her sweet companion dog Taffy.

Lesley has five grandchildren Keith and Taylor Prevost, Layne, Liam and Jaxton Roussin. In 1956 Lesley, her mother, brother Gary and beloved grandmother Constance “Nanny” Law moved to the United States under the sponsorship of the late Frank Donajkowski.

Lesley graduated from Alpena High School in 1969. After high school she became a beautician, then later a home health aid.

On June 19, 1971 she married her best friend the late Roy Prevost. Lesley and Roy began their life together in the suburbs of Detroit, and soon headed back north to Alpena. In 1987 they purchased a home in Lachine where Lesley’s love of interior design, flowers, gardening, dogs and horses shined through. She enjoyed a good political conversation. Lesley also loved the Beatles. She always loved to share that her and Nanny traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the Beatles first concert in America in 1964.

Lesley was preceded in death by her husband Roy, father Frank Donajkowski, her grandmother Nanny Law and aunt Rhena Cousineau.

She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

There will be a celebration of life service planned for a later date.
