NOVEL ARTHUR KOSS

He was born Aug. 28, 1934 in Detroit to Stanley and Esther (Green) Koss.

Norvel graduated from Posen High School in 1952. He married Patricia Bellmore on Feb. 12, 1955 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He retired from Abitibbi in 1996. Upon retirement, he enjoyed winters in Florida.

He loved his family and grandkids and going camping with them or just driving down backroads.

Mr. Koss is survived by his wife, Pat; six children, Gene (Kathy) Koss of Alpena, Lynn (Gary) Wozniak of Florida, Gail (Don) Brado of Lachine, Joseph (Kim) Koss of Brownstown, Ann (Russ) McCann of Arizona, and Michael Koss of Romulus; 10 grandchildren, James, Jennifer and Bill Brado, Nick and Eric Koss, Russell Wozniak, Amanda and Raymond (Andrea) Lingle, Chris and Jessica Koss; five great-grandchildren, Miya and Joey Brado, Jackson Koss, Kara and Emily Lingle; three sisters, Janet (Dominic) Krajniak, Karen (Tony) Roznowski, and Edna (Bob) Haller; brother, Wayne Koss; and two sisters-in-law, Vivian Koss and Evelyn Green.

He was preceded in death by his son, Russell; granddaughter, Shannon Wozniak; two brothers, Richard Green and Earl Koss; and brother-in-law, Richard “Pete” Schellie.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 5-8 where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of his Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Inurnment will take place in the spring at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church in memory of Norvel Koss.
