ROBERT HERRON
Robert “Bob” Herron, 74, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 in Florida. Bob was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Lachine, Michigan. He married Cathie Jenkins Dec. 23, 1997.
Bob worked on the family berry farm and had numerous jobs in the downstate area. His best years were spent operating heavy equipment, building roads, subdivisions, and business sites including Comerica Park in Detroit. Bob and his dad were Tigers Fans.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cathie, children Craig Herron (Jane), Kim Sutowski (Walter), Christine Mensinger (John), Tami Crego. He is also survived by stepdaughters Debbie Johnson (Daryl), Carol Norman (Perry), Christi Ulch (Steve), stepson Tony Linton. Bob also had 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Alger and Viola Herron, infant son Ronald, grandson John Aspden, and stepdaughter Melinda Gholsun.
A memorial service is scheduled for Nov. 9, 2019, from 1-4 p.m. At Spratt United Methodist Church, M-65, Lachine.
