EVA MAE McMURRAY- SINACOLA
Mrs. Eva Mae McMurray-Sinacola, 95, of Hillman, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born on May 2, 1924 to William and Mary (Graham) McKenzie in Pickford, Michigan. Eva spent most of her adult life in the Hillman area. She owned and operated Pinewood Center for over 30 years, spent some time at Essex Wire before returning to school, and then went on to help start credit unions in both Hillman and Atlanta. She was also a member of the Hillman VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed to play board games and dominos, and loved BINGO. She also liked to read, especially her Bible and Christian books. Above all else, she truly loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Eva is survived by her sons, Don (Julia) McMurray and Paul (Jan) McMurray, both of Hillman; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary; husbands, Matthew McMurray and Dominic Sinacola; brother Menard McKenzie; and sisters, Marion Walker, Bernice Kerr, Cora Hubbard, Violet Flansburg, Elda Cottle and Merle Wilson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sinacola were at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 at Green Funeral Home, Hillman; Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Visitation took place from 10 a.m. until time of service with a luncheon following services at the Free Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home. Condolence messages may be sent via our website at greenfuneralhomes.com
