Our mom dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She volunteered for many years for the Youth Club and funeral dinners at St. Catherine. She was involved in Farm Bureau and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, and feeding everyone.

Mom always put others first, warmly welcoming friends and relatives in her own special way. Starting the READ program at age 90 has been an inspiration to us all.

Mom has donated her body to science and her wish has been fulfilled.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Fitzpatrick officiating.

In lieu of flowers, some suggestions are: St. Vincents de Paul, Alpena County Library READ Program and/or children’s books/programs.

Mom’s passions were to encourage all of us to love God, take care of our families as well as all children.
