DENNIS DALE RITTHALER

Dennis was born in Alpena on Dec. 7, 1948 to the late Leopold and Theresa (Hoeberling) Ritthaler and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Denise Miela on May 11, 1974. Dennis enjoyed gardening, camping at Beaver Lake and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Denise; two daughters, Kelly (Ryan) Malloy, Kristy (Andrew) Hicks; two grandsons, Conner, Carson; sister, Viola (Leif) Laniewski; brother, Manuel (Karren) Ritthaler; several special nieces, nephews and the Miela family.

Dennis was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Ritthaler, Velma Moggie; five brothers, Ervin, Eugene, Edmund, Harley and Lynn.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with full military honors accorded him at 5 p.m. by VFW Alpena Post 2496. Visitation will continue Saturday, July 13, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating.

Interment: King Settlement Cemetery.
