MARK PAUL SARETSKY

Mark Paul Saretsky, 61, of Alpena passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at his home.

Mark was born in Alpena on Nov. 12, 1957 to the late Saul and Marcia (Myers) Saretsky.

Surviving are his sister, Annie Saretsky; aunt Cele (Marty) Landay; cousins, Ellen (Steve) Gould, Susan (Bill) Morris, Margret (Robert) Petty, Jan (Jerry) Bayer, Kathryn (Laszlo) Kubinyi, Laura (Mike) Fox, Karen Adelman, Joann (Jeff) Ishbia, Laurie (Michael) Banks, Jeff (Carla) Myers, Todd Levin, Bruce and Steve Lynn, Neil, Robert and Gary Saretsky, Janet Kennedy Burton; and beloved dog Ari.

Besides his parents Saul and Marcia, Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Mildred Myers and Morris and Rose Saretsky.

Mark worked at Morris Auto Supply, MASCO Auto Discount, Gambles of Alpena and volunteered at the Library for the Blind as well as The George N. Fletcher Library. He was previously active in the Special Olympics, participating in track and field events, snowshoe racing, bocce ball and bowling.

Mark had a fabulous life and exceeded all expectations of him. He was loved by a myriad of friends for his gentle disposition, positive attitude, and bravery in the face of many obstacles.

Visitation will take place at Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sanford Wright officiating.

Memorials may be sent to the Huron Humane Society and McLaren Hospice in memory of Mark.
