ROSE DZIESINSKI

Kingsley

Rose Dziesinski, 68, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Rose was born on Sept. 25, 1950, to the late Leonard and Mildred Minton in Alpena, Mich. One of eight children, Rose had a lifelong devotion to family and a deep faith in God as a baptized Jehovah’s Witness. Rose graduated from Alpena High School. She was united in marriage to Stan Dziensinski for 18 years and from this union three children were born: Laura (Dziesinski) Wales, Cora (Dziesinski) Wagner, and Dale Dziensinski.

Rose will be fondly remembered as a beautiful person, both inside and out. In her younger years gardening was a favorite hobby and she created a gorgeous garden overflowing with colorful peonies, irises, roses and many other flowers. On the weekends, she loved to bargain hunt at garage sales and would bring home many treasures she had found. Rose loved music, and her house was filled with the sound of classic country music coming from the records she had collected. A few personal favorites she would play over and over. She had a beautiful, musical laugh and a great sense of humor. I Love Lucy was her favorite show.

Family was very important to her. She loved being a homemaker and caring for her children. Later in life, Rose enjoyed spending time surrounded by her siblings at the family homestead where she grew up. When her children visited, it was a routine to get her favorite strawberry Belgian waffle at Big Boy. A gentle and loving soul, she was often heard saying “I love you” to both strangers and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to honor Rose’s memory include her children: Laura, Cora, and Dale; sisters: Beatrice Kielifzewski, Betty Roznowski, Theresa Krueger, and Dorothey Slominski; brothers: Daniel Minton and Eugene Minton; grandchildren: William Wales, Anton Wagner, Charles Wagner, Raymond Wagner, Andrew Wagner and Samantha Wagner.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald Smigelski.
