KATHLEEN ANN PHILLIPS

The Lord welcomed Kathleen Ann Phillips, age 54, into His arms on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 following a short illness.

She was born in Mt. Clemens on Sept. 18, 1964; she arrived in the world many weeks early and her fierce determination was evident from the start.

Her greatest joys were her three sons, fiance, her parents, family then followed by her friends and patients. She will be remembered as someone who lived to care for others. She was “that” adoring aunt who knew how to maintain her position as the favorite aunt. She was always seeking ways to bless others with gifting and baking.

She was a selfless nurse who was proud of her profession. Early in her career she thrived on the privilege to serve at various hospital emergency rooms, from Alpena to Beaumont to Hurley Hospitals. She returned to school to obtain her Nurse Practitioner’s license and this is where she most recently poured out her love and compassion to all she met.

Surviving are her fiance, Wayne Wilder; her treasured three children, Eric Mayo, James Mayo, Joshua Phillips; her parents, James and Rosina Phillips; siblings, Michael (Kate) Phillips, Lillian (Brad) Shriner, Stephen Phillips, Rachel Phillips; sister-in-law, Elsa Phillips; 12 beloved and adored nieces and nephews, Cassidy Wieschowski, Jenna Phillips, Charles Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Matthew Fleming, Craig Phillips, Christine Phillips, Alan Phillips, Emma Shriner, Ian Shriner, Ava Shriner, Zachary Phillips; great nephew, Harrison and great niece Tessalynn.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Phillips and brother, Jeffrey Phillips.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joshua Schultz officiating.
