PATRICK CORY PRIEUR
Patrick Cory Prieur, 63, of Ossineke passed away unexpectedly at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Alpena on Saturday, May 12, 2018. He was a kind and loving man who was passionate about many things including his music, being an exceptional artist, and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed but his love will carry on through all that met him.
Pat was born on Oct. 7, 1954, to the late John and Phyllis (Odgen) Prieur in Alpena, Mich. Throughout his life he developed a strong passion for music and love to listen and play all the classics such as Led Zepplin, Motley Crue, Lynard Skynard, etc. Pat loved music more than anything, that is until March 19, 1976, when he joined hands in marriage to the new love of his life Sandra Ewell. They were married in Alpena and went on to raise their family in the same community. Music remained a staple in the Prieur home as Pat made sure their children knew the joy and freedom of expression that music offered.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sandra (Ewell) Prieur; three children, Jody Prieur, Cory Prieur, and Jennifer Prieur all of Alpena, Mich.; a brother, John (Patricia) Prieur of Alpena; three sisters, Ginger (Don) Schultz of Alpena, Loraine (Phil) LaHaie of Alpena, and Carol (Gene) Gutkowski of Florida; and five grandchildren, Lillian, Emma, Carly, Noah, and Violet.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents John and Phyllis Prieur, two sisters, Vicki Jobin and Cindy Royer, a brother Michael Prieur and an infant brother as well.
Patrick has been taken from McWilliams Funeral Home-Alpena for cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at The Ramada Inn-Alpena at 3 p.m. with Rev.
