BARBARA JEAN KLEIN
Mrs. Barbara Jean Klein, 81, passed away at her home in Hillman on Dec. 29, 2017. Barbara was born in Oxford, Mich., to June (Mann) and Mikel Ralph Linseman on Dec. 9, 1936. She married Robert James Klein on Sept. 11, 1954, and together the couple celebrated 63 years of marriage before her passing. Barb was a master at baking and yodeling. She loved to sing and dance, especially the two-step. She worked with Robert at Klein Brothers Heating and Plumbing for many years and was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Lachine. Her last several years were spent at home under the care of her husband, and she was in her glory when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were visiting. Barb will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Klein of Hillman; daughter, Anita (Timmy) Benac; son, Keith (Vicki) Klein, both of Hillman; daughter, Laurie (Brad) Nugent of Lachine; grandchildren, Lisa (Dale) Appelgren, Timothy (Winyan) Benac, Neil (Lindsey) Klein, Aaron Klein, Krista (Jamie) Weiland, Blaise Nugent, Alayna Nugent, Tori Klein, and Maci Klein. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Riley, Jozie, Brody, Aubrey, Oliver, Elodie, Wynter, Grayson, and Cullen; a sister, Joan Smith of Hillman; and five brothers, Roger (Monique) Linseman of Alpena, Norman (Linda) Linseman of Hillman, Larry (Martha) Linseman of Clio, Jack Linseman, and Clifford Linseman, both of Hillman.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Alphonse Linseman, Patricia Hill, and Kirk Linseman.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at the Community of Christ Church, 12990 Atkinson Road, Lachine. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
