MARION P. SEGUIN

Marion P. Seguin, 93, of Alpena passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at Turning Brook Assisted Living.

Marion Pauline Firsch was born on June 13, 1924 in Alpena to Richard and Clara (Jesse) Firsch. After graduating from Alpena High School in 1942 she worked at Besser Company as a secretary until her marriage to Robert J. Seguin on Nov. 19, 1945. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2014. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Founders Society of Jesse Besser Museum, a former member of the Alpena General Hospital Auxiliary and Tray Club, and the Alpena Country Club.

Surviving are her four children, Barbara (Lee) Szczesniak, Alpena, Paul Seguin of Sarasota, Fla., Philip (Lori) Seguin of Ossineke and Kathryn (Bob) Burton of Alpena; grandchildren, Staci (Doug) Chroninger, Ashley (Shane) O’Keefe, Trent (Chris) Seguin, Bob (Bonnie) Seguin, Michelle Seguin, Becky (Neil) Seabase and Jesse (Kyle) Wirgau. A grandson, Deputy Ryan Seguin, is deceased. In addition, she has 16 great-grandchildren, Rachel and Taylor Chroninger, Brady and Regan O’Keefe, Andrea, Alexandra and Austin Seguin, Justin Robbins, Courtney and Cameron Seguin, Drew, Reed, Sage and Max Seabase, and Gus and Henry Wirgau; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Seguin was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gerald Girard and an infant brother, Richard.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shirley Ross-Jones officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
