PHILIP and FAY ZIELASKOWSKI
Philip John Zielaskowski, 68, and Fay June Zielaskowski, 67, both of Ossineke, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, as a result of an auto accident in Au Gres.
Philip was born in Alpena on May 16, 1949, and served in the United States Navy. Fay was born on June 20, 1950. They were married on Dec. 28, 1968. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are their son, Lorne (Mary “Polly”) Zielaskowski; two grandchildren, Alec, Lauren; his mother, Jean Connon; Philip’s sisters, Sonja (Greg) Briley, Susan (Duane) Kidder, Sandy (John Adams) Zielaskowski; Fay’s siblings, Karen (Irvin) Buchler, Linwood Krueger; several nieces and nephews.
They were preceded in death by Phil’s father, Alex Zielaskowski; Fay’s parents, Ralph and Ethel Bahrke; infant brother, Alex Zielaskowski; and a brother, Merl Krueger.
Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating. Full military honors will be accorded Phil by VFW Alpena Post 2496 following the memorial service.
