JERRY L. HARVEY

Jerry L. Harvey of Alpena, Mich., age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 6, 2017. Jerry was born in Scottville, Mich., and was raised in Muskegon. He graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1956, and then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, he completed his education with a B.A. and M.S.W. from the University of Michigan. He worked for the State of Michigan as a Social Work Administrator for 35 years. He loved reading, music, animals and nature.

Jerry was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Irene Harvey, and a twin brother, Terry Harvey. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Harvey; daughter, Maura (Shawn) Gapske; son, Eric (Kim) Harvey; grandson, David Harvey; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Roger (Margot) Harvey and Robert Harvey, and a sister, Susan (Lowell) Smith; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be planned for a later date.
