JAMES A. LAMP
James A. Lamp, 54, of Templeton, CA. died after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Jim was born November 12, 1960, in Alpena, Mich. Jim will be remembered for his love of his son and family and the service to his country.
Jim is survived by his son Randy Lamp; mother, Patty Socia; father, Ron Lamp; and brothers Todd and Scott Lamp.
Jim was proud of his military service in the Navy’s submarine service and acquiring a Senior Reactor Operator license at the nuclear plant DCPP, where he worked most his life. A member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and SLO SubVets. Jim was very honored to participate in parades and ceremonies for the American Legion. Jim loved to play golf with his friends, shoot his collection of guns, travel and visit historic sites.
Jim wanted to thank his many friends and family for their love and support during his illness and difficult times. Special thanks to: Son Randy and Mom, Dennis Anderson, Dan Koehler, Rich Harvey, Greg Sturgeon, John Hurlburt, Wendy McKenna, the Wilson’s, all my friends at cancer support groups, and all my friends from church groups.
He will be interred at Templeton Cemetery with a veteran’s graveside ceremony, Friday April 24, 2015. If desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Support Community of Paso Robles, the Wellness Kitchen of Templeton or the Lung Cancer Foundation of America in Jim’s name. Honesty. Generosity.
