PATRICK JOHN DOWLING
Patrick John Dowling, 65, of Port St.Lucie, Fla., formerly of Alpena, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at his home.
Patrick was born on June 15, 1949, in Alpena, to the late Lyle and Jeanne Dowling. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, from 1970 to 1974. Patrick worked at the Midway and Giantway supermarkets in Alpena for many years.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Sally Ann, of St. Lucie, and his beloved daughters, Rebecca (Gene) Wadford, of Gilbert, S.C., Robin (Mark) Tucker, of Grand Rapids, Mich., two grandchildren, Jordan and William Tucker, also of Grand Rapids, Mich., three brothers, Thomas, Michael and Lyle, five sisters, Mary, Catherine, Jane, Theresa, Jennifer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Patrick’s life will be held in Chesapeake, Virginia on Jan. 24, 2015. Memorial services will also be held this spring, in Traverse City, Mich.
Patrick will be dearly missed, but his memories will be cherished forever. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and unconditional love for others.
