He is survived by his wife, Maxine; his five children, Charles, Robert (Jan), Sheri (Steve) Allen, Jean (Peewee) Hentokowski and Jacob (Andrea) ; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Stephen, Aiden, Allen, Zachary, Joshua, Hannah and Rowin; two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Leonard (Mary), Ray (Michelle) and Louis (Clara), Rita Wetzel and Mary (Butch) Brandenburg; one sister-in-law, Georgiana Donajkowski; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family will gather at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. with a joint of K of C and parish prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 25, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 520 N. Second Ave. from 11:30 until the 1 p.m. funeral mass begins. Rev. Bishop Bernard Hebda will preside with Rev. Charlie Donanakowski and his brother priests.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
