He survived by his wife, Stephanie; six children, Denise (L.A.) Haskin of Hamilton, Dennis of Presque Isle, Donald (Sharon) of Maui, Hawaii, David (Pam Workman-Parker) of Tucson, Ariz., Dean (Emily) of Grand Rapids, Carley (Tom Clark) Detloff of Alpena; 14 grandchildren; and a brother, Darrell (Jan) of North Ft. Meyer, Fla.

He is at McWilliams Funeral Home Alpena where friends may call on Friday from 2-8 p.m. with military honors at 5 p.m. provided by VFW Post #2496. The service of remembrance will be Saturday Jan, 5, 2013, at Word of Life Baptist Church at 10:30 am with Rev. Wade Yocum and Dean Dettloff officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church. Interment will be at Hawaiian Memory Park Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
