Registration open for Bolenz Jewelry Holiday Parade

ALPENA - Planning is underway for one of Alpena's favorite holiday traditions, the Bolenz Jewelry Holiday Parade, and registration is now open for individuals, businesses, organizations, and groups wishing to participate.

The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2026. Participants will line up at the annex building parking lot located at the corner of Chisholm Street and Ninth Avenue. The parade route will travel down Chisholm Street, turn left onto Second Avenue, right onto Water Street, and conclude in the parking lot behind city hall.

Participants are encouraged to embrace the holiday spirit when decorating their entries. While a Christmas or holiday theme should be the primary focus, creativity is encouraged. Entries will be judged on originality, overall appearance, and lighting displays. Holiday music is also highly encouraged.

Registration forms are available at the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce office, located at 235 W. Chisholm Street, or online at Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce.

Completed registration forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Nov. 23. Late registrations will not be accepted, and entries that are not pre-registered will not be permitted to participate in the parade.

Winners will be announced on social media the evening of the parade and published in the press on Nov.28. Awards will be presented in both nommercial and non-commercial categories, with cash prizes and trophies awarded as follows:

• 1st Place: $200

• 2nd Place: $150

• 3rd Place: $100

The Bolenz Jewelry Holiday Parade is a festive community tradition that helps kick off the holiday season and brings together residents, businesses, and organizations in celebration of the season.
