ALPENA – The Alpena County Road Commission began work on the Spruce Road Resurfacing Project on Tuesday. The project is located on Spruce Road, from Nicholson Hill Road to Precour Road. The project will consist of overlaying the existing roadway and resurfacing with new asphalt.
The 4.3-mile Resurfacing Project is being funded by the Alpena County Road Commission.
A single lane of traffic will be maintained, where construction is taking place, through the use of traffic regulators.
The Alpena County Road Commission would like to thank you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to improve the county road system.
The project is anticipated to take approximately 4 days to complete, weather permitting.
General Contractor on the project is Ace-Saginaw Paving.
