ALPENA, MI -- The Boys & Girls Club of Alpena is inviting local businesses, families, organizations, and community members to hit the lanes for a great cause at its Bowl for Great Futures Halloween Bowling Fundraiser on Oct. 9 at the Thunder Bowl Lanes in Alpena.
With the event just one month away, the club is seeking bowling teams, event sponsors, and community supporters to help make the fundraiser a success.
Bowl for Great Futures will bring the community together for an evening of bowling, Halloween fun, and friendly competition, all while supporting local youth. Participants are encouraged to gather their friends, family members, coworkers, or organization and put together a team. Costumes are encouraged, making it a great opportunity for businesses and groups to enjoy a night out while giving back.
Proceeds from the event will directly support the Boys & Girls Club of Alpena’s mentoring and youth development programs, helping provide young people throughout the Alpena area with positive adult relationships, safe spaces, engaging opportunities, and the support they need to reach their full potential.
The Boys & Girls Club of Alpena serves youth ages 5-18 year old through programs focused on academic success and career readiness, character and leadership, health and wellness, sports and recreation, the arts, social-emotional learning, and more.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, giving local businesses, organizations, and families an opportunity to support youth while being recognized as part of this community event. Donations of items and other event support are also welcomed.
Community members can also support Bowl for Great Futures by volunteering during the event.
