ALPENA -- Absentee ballots are now available for pickup at City Hall for voters who are on the permanent ballot list or
who have already requested that an absentee ballot be mailed to them.
Voters may pick up their absentee ballot in person through Sept.30, 2026. On Oct. 1, 2026, any ballots that have not been picked up will be mailed to the voter.
If you would like to avoid the mailing process and receive your ballot in person, please stop by City Hall.
Voters must present photo identification.
City Hall hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Absentee ballots are also available to voters who are not on the permanent ballot list. Voters may request an absentee ballot online through the Michigan Voter Information Center at:

Requests may also be made in person at City Hall.
