ALPENA -- WeCare, the employee-led, company-matched charitable program at Spire America / Top O’ Michigan Insurance is hosting Paws for WeCare, a dog-friendly charity walk with pet vendor booths, to raise money for local shelters and for our charitable fund to be able to continue giving back to our northern Michigan communities in Alpena, Hillman, and Gaylord, It will take place at the Alpena dog park on Sept 19 from from 8 a.m. until noon.
During the event there will be:
– A 1 to 1.5 mile walk -- bring your own dog
– 50% of proceeds to local animal shelters, 50% to WeCare
– Raffles throughout the morning
– Pet-focused vendor booths to browse and support
The cost of the event is $30 per person and people who don't have a dog are welcome to participate.
