Rogers City Police Department to host first National Night Out event this year

ROGERS CITY -- On Tuesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p. M., the Rogers city Police Department will host its National Night Out.
National Night Out is an annual event that started in 1984 and is celebrated across the country. It was created to bring law enforcement and citizens together to get to know their communities and learn about crime prevention.

The local police have partnered with Rogers City Main Street to plan a block party in Westminster Park.
Included will be live music, free hot dogs and snacks, a display of law enforcement vehicles and tables with varying crime prevention topics as well as a child fingerprinting/ID station.
We invite everyone to come out and join us, meet your local law enforcement and meet your neighbors.
