Aug. 3
12:37 a.m. A vehicle alarm is going off in Briley Township. Deputies responded, and the owner turned it off when they got there.
1:02 a.m. A vehicle drives into a telephone pole in Briley Township. Deputies and fire responded. The driver was unharmed, the vehicle was towed, and the telephone pole was fixed by a power company.
7:51 a.m. A representative of the Atlanta School District called to report they were looking through camera footage on the day of July 27th; to get information on the subjects that tore up the property on a SBS and a 4-wheeler.
9:00 a.m. Two subjects came into the lobby and spoke with a deputy about some concerns they have over an easement onto their property in Briley Township.
1:10 p.m. A citizen of Briley Township called to report a young teen driving a dirtbike around town and tearing up the roads. ORV patrol responded and spoke to multiple juveniles riding around town on dirt bikes.
7:14 p.m. A citizen of Albert Township located two dogs running around in the street. He met with a deputy at the Albert Township Fire Hall; the dogs were then transported to ECAS.
9:03 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident in Loud Township. while a deputy was enroute, it was found that the female’s phone had died. She was okay.
Aug. 4
1:32 a.m. Dispatch was notified of a commercial burglary alarm in Albert Township. Dispatch was able to contact the owner who stated everything was okay; all of the doors were locked and none of the motion lights were on.
2:21 a.m. A resident in Albert Township reported what sounded like a verbal dispute with somebody yelling as if they were in distress. Deputies responded to the area and found the location of the yelling; everything was fine.
11:14 a.m. A commercial alarm was reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded to the scene and found the building to be secure.
11:21 a.m. A report of a vehicle in the ditch on Funk Rd in Hillman Township was reported. A deputy responded to the scene, but the vehicle was no longer there, an investigation is ongoing at this time.
9:50 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Vienna Township; a report was taken.
10:20 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a female in Albert Township after family members could not get ahold of her. A deputy located the female at the residence; she was okay.
Aug. 5
9:59 a.m. A welfare check is requested in Albert Township. A deputy responded but the subject was not home, and the residence appeared unlived at.
1:26 p.m. A dispute between brothers is reported in Hillman Township. Deputies responded and took one of the brothers home.
4:32 p.m. A single vehicle ORV rollover is reported in Hillman Township. A deputy and a DNR officer responded, and the driver was arrested for OWI.
Aug. 6
2:34 a.m. A commercial burglary alarm is reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded and the building was secure.
1:53 p.m. A trespass is requested in Avery Township. A deputy called the trespassing party and verbally trespassed the subject.
6:03 p.m. A trespasser is reported in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and trespassed the subject.
8:23 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident in Albert Township. A deputy responded, and the owners were there. They were in the process of moving; everything was fine.
10:09 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Hillman Township. Deputies responded and the subject was okay.
Aug. 7
2:49 a.m. A 911 hang-up comes in from Albert Township. After multiple failed contact attempts, a deputy went to the residence. There was an active dispute going on between the owners. The couple separated within the residence for the night.
9:25 a.m. An officer went to Alpena County Jail to pick up an inmate for a doctor's appointment, then returned him to Alpena Jail.
9:59 a.m. A single vehicle crash was reported in Montmorency Township. Deputies responded to the scene; the subject was transported to the hospital. Investigation is currently ongoing.
Aug. 8
6:36 a.m. A report of ORVs and trucks tearing up Twin Lakes Rd. was made.
10:04 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a couple in Briley Township. Contact was made with the subjects; they were found to be fine.
12:12 p.m. A male subject in Lewiston was upset that a business had no parking signs up. A deputy responded to speak with the subject.
2:42 p.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in Albert Township. MCSO deputies, MSP Trooper, and Albert Township Fire and EMS responded to the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
3:16 p.m. An MSP Trooper on traffic detail initiated a traffic stop in Hillman Township. The driver was found to be revoked and had a warrant out of an adjoining county. The subject was cited and paid the bond.
3:17 p.m. While on patrol in Albert Township deputies were flagged down for a possible domestic situation. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and the accusations were unfounded.
5:19 p.m. A small fire in the ditch was reported in Hillman Township. Hillman Fire was dispatched.
Aug. 9
10:38 a.m. A noise complaint in the Village of Hillman was reported. An officer responded to the residence and spoke with the subject regarding the noise.
11:05 a.m. A resident of Briley Township called to report his neighbor burning building materials. A deputy responded to the residence; the subject was burning firewood.
12:11 p.m. A resident that lives on Avalon Lake called to report a boat that she believes is too big for the lake and is too loud. A DNR officer was advised and spoke with the reporting party.
