ATLANTA - Recent actions taken by law enforcement agencies in Northeast Michigan. This has been only lightly edited.

July 27th

10:19 AM A welfare check was requested in Albert Township. A deputy responded and the subject was okay.

2:50 PM A welfare check was requested in Loud Township. A deputy responded and the subject was fine.

5:58 PM Employees at a job site reported a vehicle that had driven by and flipped them off. A deputy responded and spoke with the complainant.

7:48 PM A domestic dispute was reported in Albert Township regarding shared property. Deputies responded, and the parties separated.

10:23 PM A group of individuals had their vehicle break down and got lost while searching for cell service. A deputy was able to locate them and take them to a hotel for the night.

July 28th

8:35 AM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Avery Township. A report was made.

11:40 AM A welfare check was requested in Briley Township. A deputy responded but was unable to contact the subject.

5:40 PM A FedEx Truck reportedly had its back door open and was driving westbound into the county. A deputy was able to locate it, but the backdoor was already closed.

7:47 PM A structure fire was reported in Loud Township. Deputies, Tri Township Fire, and Tri Township EMS responded to the scene.

July 29th

1:10 AM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and a report was made.

July 30th

11:23 AM A welfare check was requested on a male subject walking down the road in Avery Township. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the subject.

July 31st

1:41 AM A 911 hang-up call came in from Albert Township. After multiple failed contact attempts, a deputy responded to the location, and everything was fine.

2:19 PM An erratic boater was reported in Montmorency Township. Deputies responded and spoke with both parties.

4:50 PM A trespass request is made in Albert Township. A deputy and DNR officer responded and trespassed the suspect. The suspect later returned to retrieve his belongings and caused a scene. A DNR officer called the reporting party to speak with them.

7:29 PM A missing person is reported by some dirt bikers to a deputy in Briley Township. Deputies, DNR officers, and fire units responded, and the individual was later found.

8:31 PM A welfare check is requested in Hillman Township. The subject's location reportedly changed several times, but a deputy later located the subject and they were okay.

11:52 PM A resident reported a set of headlights shining into someone's house in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and spoke to the owner of headlights, who then stopped shining them.

August 1st

12:37 AM An adjoining jurisdiction reported a possible kidnapping. Deputies responded and spoke with all parties involved; no kidnapping took place and deputies cleared without incident.

2:37 AM Deputies responded to a residence in Albert Township after a domestic assault was reported. One female was arrested for domestic violence and was lodged at Alpena County Jail.

1:43 PM A deputy conducted a traffic stop on an ORV in Albert Township. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and had a warrant out of MCSO. The male was arrested on his warrant.

4:07 PM An abandoned dog was reported in Albert Township. Deputies were able to contact the owner; he is out of town and has friends that are caring for the dog.

August 2nd

12:47 AM A drive-by welfare check was requested in Hillman Township. A deputy drove by the residence, and everything was okay.

1:51 AM A possible drunk driver was reported coming into Albert Township. A deputy stopped the vehicle, but the driver was not impaired.

12:20 PM Deputies responded to a commercial burglary alarm in the Village of Hillman but were canceled; it was an accidental alarm.

1:08 PM A resident on a lake in Montmorency Township reported a boat pulling multiple buoys behind it. A DNR officer made contact with the boaters; they were pulling legal planer boards.

2:01 PM A disgruntled male was reported walking down the street and shouting obscenities in Albert Township. A deputy responded but was unable to locate a male on foot.

4:03 PM A vehicle crash was reported in Albert Township. MCSO deputies and Albert Township Fire/EMS responded to the scene. M&D assisted with the removal of the vehicle from the trees.

8:43 PM An adjoining jurisdiction asked us to check an address for possible stolen property in Briley Township. Deputies responded, but the possible stolen property was not there.
