August 17th
1:09 AM Tri Township Fire and MCSO deputies responded to a business in Briley Township after smoke alarms were reported to be going off. No smoke or fire were found and the alarms were reset.
8:51 AM A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.
12:10 PM A vehicle in the deer was reported in Hillman Township. Deputies, Hillman Fire, and Hillman EMS responded to the scene.
6:50 PM A domestic dispute was reported in Avery Township. The male half was throwing the other's belongings out of the residence. Deputies responded to the residence, and both parties were separated.
6:51 PM A hit and run was reported at a business in Briley Township. A deputy responded and was able to locate the driver that had left. The deputy was able to obtain the drivers insurance info and provided it to the victim.
7:55 PM An unknown intoxicated male was reported on the porch of residence in Albert Township. A deputy responded and was able to identify the male. The male was escorted back to his residence.
7:58 PM While investigating another call for service, a deputy had a citizen report an intoxicated subject on the property that was about to drive. The deputy was able to find a family member to drive the subject home.
11:24 PM Tri Township Fire responded to a powerline that was against a tree and sparking in Briley Township. PIE&G was notified.
August 18th
6:26 AM A resident reported damage to multiple mailboxes in Briley Township. Some of the mailboxes were ripped off and laying in the middle of the roadway. A deputy responded and was able to place the mailboxes back on the correct post.
9:44 PM A resident in Montmorency Township requested a welfare check on 2 dogs. The dogs were found to be okay and had somebody taking care of them while the owner was out of town.
9:57 PM An erratic driver was reported in Vienna Township after going into the ditch and taking out multiple road signs. A deputy located where the vehicle went into the ditch and found the signs damaged but still standing. The vehicle was not found.
August 19th
12:06 AM A resident reported there was somebody possibly in their camper in the backyard of their residence, there was an interior light on and nobody was inside of it. Deputies responded but found the camper clear and secure.
12:17 AM A female entered the MCSO lobby and reported that she has been assaulted by her boyfriend. Deputies spoke with the female and later located the male who was arrested and lodged at ACJ for domestic violence.
7:15 AM A vehicle/deer accident is reported in Montmorency Township. A report was made.
3:34 PM A two-vehicle accident is reported in Briley Township. Deputies responded, and a report was made.
3:37 PM A welfare check is requested in Briley Township. A deputy and a DNR officer responded, and the subject was okay.
9:50 PM A suspicious vehicle is reported driving up and down the road in Albert Township. A deputy responded but was unable to find the vehicle.
August 20th
11:20 AM A VIN inspection is requested in Briley Township. A deputy responded and did the inspection.
12:39 PM A medical examiner from an adjoining jurisdiction requests our deputies perform a death notification in Briley Township. A deputy responds and notifies the parties.
5:40 PM An erratic driver is reported heading into Briley Township. A deputy responds and pulls over the driver.
August 21st
10:48 AM A welfare check was requested on an Albert Township resident. A deputy responded to the residence; the subject was found to be fine.
11:40 AM A property line dispute was reported; deputies responded to the residence and advised the homeowners that this is a civil issue.
11:51 AM A deer vehicle crash in Hillman Township was reported; a report was taken.
1:25 PM A resident of Briley Township has an issue with the school bus driving down the private road he lives on to pick up the children that live on the road. He has contacted the school regarding the issue.
8:53 PM A welfare check was requested on a female in Avery Township; the female was found to be okay.
August 22nd
1:50 AM MCSO deputies were requested to assist Otsego County with a fleeing vehicle.
3:04 AM A welfare check was requested on subjects staying at a family cabin in Loud Township. A deputy responded and found all subjects to be okay.
August 23rd
7:39 AM A welfare check was requested on a male in Montmorency Township. The male was found to be okay.
4:38 PM A fire alarm went off at a business in Albert Township. Albert Township was paged but cancelled shortly after, it was a false alarm.
4:54 PM Deputies responded to a residence after a female was assaulted. One male was arrested and lodged at ACJ for aggravated assault.
5:08 PM Albert Township Fire responded to a report of a transformer that blew. One scene they found a tree that fell on the line. PIE&G was notified.
6:34 PM Dispatch was notified by the DNR that a prescribed burn had reignited. The fire was reported to have jumped the river and roadway. Hillman Fire, Canada Creek Ranch Fire, Tri Township Fire, and Atlanta DNR Fire all responded the scene.
