ALPENA -- On Tuesday, the contractor for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin epoxy deck overlay work on the George Washington Bridge on US-23/Chisholm Street. There will be a traffic shift with one lane open in each direction. Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic around the construction site. This work is expected to take one week to complete unless weather or construction delays occur
