ALPENA -- The Alpena Food Co-op Steering Committee has two upcoming opportunities to learn more about efforts to open a community-owned grocery store in Downtown Alpena. The events begin at 5:30 P.M. for socializing and conversation, followed by a brief presentation at 5:45 pm.
The first meeting is being held on Aug.17 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Alcona County Library- Harrisville Branch
The second meeting is planned for Sept. 16, from 5:30-7 p.m., with snacks provided, at The Parker House in Presque Isle.
