ALPENA – The United States Department of Veterans Affairs Saginaw Healthcare System will host a veteran town hall and PACT Act resource fair for Veterans in the Alpena area today.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. at the VFW Post 2496.

The event will help educate veterans about VA health care and benefits and assist with VA benefits enrollment. Veterans will also have an opportunity to interact with and hear updates from VA leadership.

VA staff will be on hand to provide information on topics including the PACT Act, toxic exposures and screenings, eligibility and enrollment, community care, homeless program services, VET Center readjustment counseling services, and more. Veterans can also meet with a Veteran Service Officer to get help with benefits and claims.
