July 6
7:17 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a male in Avery Township. The male was found to be okay.
8:41 p.m. A residential fire alarm was reported to dispatch. Hillman Fire Department responded to the residence and was able to make entry. The residence was fine; the alarm had malfunctioned.
8:51 p.m. An erratic driver was reported in Albert Township. A deputy was able to conduct a traffic stop. The male was lost and the deputy was able to lead him to his residence.
July 7
1:15 a.m. A vehicle was reported in the ditch in Avery Township. Deputies responded but were unable to locate anybody inside or around it. The vehicle was towed by M&D Towing.
8:02 a.m. A dispute over a fence was reported in Briley Township. A deputy was able to speak with all parties involved.
9:06 a.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.
4:27 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a female in Albert Township after concerning statements were made. A deputy went to the residence and found the female to be okay.
9:30 p.m. A disturbance was reported at a residence in Briley Township. An female was said to be violent and unruly. Deputies responded and spoke with all parties involved. An investigation is still ongoing.
11:57 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a male at a campground in Hillman. Friends were concerned, stating they were unable to get in contact with him. A deputy responded and was able to make contact, the male was found to be okay.
July 8
10:44 a.m. Some barking hound dogs are reported in Albert Township. A deputy responded but was unable to contact the owners.
11:04 a.m. A welfare check is requested in Albert Township. A deputy responded and the subjects were okay.
11:25 a.m. An injured coyote is reported on a roadway in Avery Township. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the coyote.
2:13 p.m. A deputy ran traffic control while a cable line was run across the roadway in Albert Township.
6:05 p.m. An erratic driver is reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the vehicle.
6:07 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident is reported in Albert Township. A deputy responded and a report was made.
6:57 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Briley Township. After failing to make contact via phone, a deputy responded and the subject was okay.
7:56 p.m. An erratic driver was reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded and stopped the driver, whose vehicle needed an alignment.
8:06 p.m. A caller reports that a child is shouting "help me" several times in Briley Township. Deputies and a trooper responded, but the child was playing with other children.
8:15 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and everything was okay.
8:30 p.m. A commercial burglary alarm is reported in Briley Township. Deputies and a trooper responded, but there was an employee inside who tripped the alarm.
July 9
2:17 a.m. A suspicious person is seen walking down a roadway in Albert Township. The caller believes the individual is very dangerous. Deputies respond but are unable to locate the individual.
2:38 p.m. A private property accident is reported in Briley Township, and a deputy is requested for help. A deputy responded.
4:29 p.m. A VIN inspection is requested in Briley Township. A deputy responded.
6:29 p.m. An assault is reported in Briley Township, where a man was pushed over in a parking lot. A deputy responded and a report was made.
8:17 p.m. A VIN inspection is requested in Vienna Township. A deputy responded.
8:43 p.m. An officer from an adjoining jurisdiction requests backup for a scene in Albert Township. Deputies responded.
11:16 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident is reported in Loud Township. A report was made.
July 10
12:07 a.m. A caller reports a suspicious person walking down the road in Albert Township. Deputies responded and drove the subject home.
5:40 p.m. A single vehicle accident was reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded to the scene to take a report; MDOT was notified as a road sign was damaged.
7:40 p.m. A passerby reported a vehicle in the trees in Montmorency Township. Hillman Fire, EMS, and deputies responded to the scene. The driver was okay; Jerome's Towing assisted with the removal of the vehicle.
9:27 p.m. Deputies responded to a location in Montmorency Township after dispatch received a crash notification via text message. Deputies were unable to locate any vehicle accident
July 11
11:35 a.m. PIE&G was notified of a tree on a powerline in Briley Township.
11:47 a.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Albert Township; a report was taken.
1:07 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Albert Township; a report was taken.
5:04 p.m. A DNR officer conducted a traffic stop in Hillman Township. A male was provided a citation and court date for violations.
6:51 p.m. An erratic driver was reported driving at a high rate of speed and nearly causing a collision. A deputy searched for the vehicle but was unable to locate it.
7:56 p.m. ADT Security reported a residential alarm in Briley Township. Deputies responded to the residence and found subjects that had accidentally set off the alarm while prepping for a sale.
July 12
10:39 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.
12:50 MCSO deputies and a DNR CO assisted Presque Isle County with a verbal dispute in progress in Tomahawk Campground. All units cleared without incident.
3:16 p.m. A report of a speed boat coming too close to other boats on West Twin Lake was made. MCSO marine patrol responded, located the boat and the driver was given a warning.
3:25 p.m. An MCSO deputy responded to a dispute in Albert Township. She spoke with all parties involved.
10:14 p.m. Deputies responded to Albert Township after a truck in the ditch was reported. Upon arrival, the truck was gone. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate any accident.
10:28 p.m. Multiple residents in Albert Township reported fireworks. A deputy responded to the residence, they've stopped for the night.
