ALPENA – The fifth annual Art in the Park is taking place Aug. 15 at McRae Park in Alpena.
The craft show will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day, organizer Jodie Bishop said.
This year's Art in the Park will be raising money for HEROES, an organization in Alpena which assists individuals with special needs and their caregivers by providing essential resources, support, and socialization within their community to allow for a fulfilling life. HEROES stands for Heart, Enthusiasm, Resources, Opportunities, Empathy, and Socialization.
The craft show will feature concessions and a raffle. All proceeds from the concessions and raffle as well as vendor fees will be given to HEROES.
The event will go on rain or shine.
