Marine Sanctuary advisory council to meet on June 16

ALPENA – NOAA's Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center, 500 W. Fletcher Street, Alpena, Michigan. The public is invited to attend.

The meeting agenda includes regular council business; a presentation by Cassandra Sadler on the Newell A. Eddy shipwreck; and updates from NOAA staff on Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary programs, upcoming events, and research.

Public comment will take place at approximately 7:50 p.m.
