Courtesy Photo Pictures is a dump truck that crashed and rolled over in Mikado Township on Friday.

At 10:27 a.m. on Friday, deputies from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to F-41 and Michaud Road in Mikado Township for a vehicle crash rollover, according to a Monday press release.

The investigation revealed that a dump truck being driven by a 45-year-old man from Ausable was northbound on F-41 when he made an evasive maneuver to avoid colliding with another vehicle that was also northbound. As the dump truck went onto the northbound shoulder and onto the ditch slope the truck tipped over. The man was helped out of the truck by another citizen. He was evaluated by Mikado Township First Responders and was transported by Alcona EMS to MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas for precautionary purposes.
