Alpena – Northland Area Federal Credit Union is proud to announce it has secured $10,000 in development support for Bay Athletic Club (BAC), LLC through the Elevate Small Business Program from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. BAC has served the community for 20 years and qualified for funds that that specifically support small business growth. BAC renovated a vacant building and moved to a new facility. This financial assistance helped ease the nearly half-million cost of expansion and equipment.

Jessica Richards, vice president said helping to support local businesses means future financial success in Alpena.

“Supporting our business members’ growth and success is at the heart of what we do. By helping secure this funding for essential equipment, we’re not just providing financial solutions–we’re investing in the infrastructure that keeps Alpena County thriving,” she said. “When local businesses have access to the resources they need, our entire community benefits. We’re proud to be the trusted financial partner our members can count on to help turn their business goals into reality.”

The Elevate Small Business Program provides development funds through Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis member financial institutions. Member institutions apply on behalf of their small business customers, and eligible applications may receive up to $20,000 in support to strengthen small business growth across Indiana and Michigan.

Elevate is offered annually through participating member financial institutions. FHLBank Indianapolis does not provide funds directly to small businesses; business owners must work with a participating financial institution to access program funds. Eligible businesses must be headquartered in Indiana or Michigan, have at least one year of continuous operation, and earn less than $1 million in annual gross revenue.
