April 13

1:04 a.m. A property welfare check is requested in Briley Township. A deputy responded and found that the property was okay, just out of power.

2:10 a.m. A drive-by welfare check is requested in Hillman Township. A deputy drove by the residence, and everything looked okay.

7:24 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township. A report was taken.

10:12 a.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township. A deputy responded to take the report. No injuries were reported.

1:37 p.m. The report of two dogs running loose in Montmorency Township was made. Contact was made with the owner, and the dogs were picked up.

5:16 p.m. A commercial alarm was reported at a business in the Village of Hillman. Deputies responded to the scene and found the building secure.

6:58 p.m. A resident in Avery Township caught a male on his property with cameras and noticed missing property. A deputy responded to the residence and spoke with the residents.

7:53 p.m. A subject in Hillman Township was trespassed from private property after reports of trespassing were made.

8:25 p.m. A resident reported an erratic driver in Hillman Township. A vehicle description and plate number were provided for deputies. A deputy was able to locate the driver; he was not under the influence, just tired.

April 14

6:43 a.m. The supervisor at the Road Commission called to report multiple road closures due to erosion.

10:08 a.m. An animal at large complaint was made on a dog in Hillman Township. An officer responded and spoke with all parties involved. The owner of the dog was given a warning.

11:38 a.m. A resident of Briley Township called, referencing her neighbor; concern regarding the noise that comes from the residence and the garbage that is in the yard.

April 15

6:11 a.m. An injured deer was reported in Albert Township. A trooper responded and dispatched the deer, then went to a second injured deer in Loud Township. It was dispatched as well.

8:21 a.m. A vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township. A deputy responded.

5:20 p.m. A missing person was reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded and spoke with subjects at the residence. Surrounding counties were notified of a BOL for the subject and vehicle while deputies searched the county.

6:31 p.m. A single vehicle crash was reported in Albert Township. MCSO Deputies, Albert Township Fire, and EMS all responded to the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital for his injuries; an OWI investigation is ongoing.

9:10 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Albert Township. Deputies responded but were unable to make contact with the subject.

April 16

6:32 p.m. An animal in distress was reported in Albert Township. A deputy responded and the animal was fine.

8:02 p.m. A noise complaint was made in Briley Township regarding fireworks; a deputy responded and spoke to the subjects at the residence.

April 17

1:55 p.m. A resident of Rust Township called to report an out-of-control brush fire. Hillman Fire Department responded to the scene and put the fire out.

2:18 p.m. A resident of Albert Township called to report an out-of-control grass fire that was headed toward the woods. Albert Township Fire Department responded to the scene and put the fire out.

3:45 p.m. A deputy responded to a motorist assist in Briley Township.

8:52 p.m. OnStar reported a single vehicle crash in Briley Township. Deputies responded to the area and found the scene of a vehicle/deer accident. A report was taken.

11:35 p.m. Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a vehicle/bear accident. Deputies responded to the scene and found the driver to be okay. The bear took off into the woods and a report was taken.

April 18

11:09 a.m. While on routine patrol, a DNR CO initiated a traffic stop on an ORV in Albert Township. The driver was found to not have a valid driver’s license and multiple warrants out of an adjoining jurisdiction. The subject was transported to Otsego Jail.

6:13 p.m. A DNR officer conducted a traffic stop in Albert Township. The vehicle did not have insurance. The driver was issued a court date.

9:14 p.m. Dispatch received a 911 from an iPhone involved in a crash. Dispatch was able to get ahold of the phone owner; they were fine and dropped the phone off of the truck.

9:23 p.m. A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Briley Township. The driver had a warrant out of Otsego County and was transported to the county line. Custody was transferred to an Otsego County deputy.

11:22 p.m. A resident in Albert Township called 911, stating a female could be heard screaming down the street. Deputies were able to find the female who was later arrested for drunk and disorderly; she was lodged at ACJ.

April 19

9:17 a.m. Dispatch received a 911 call with an open line; a verbal dispute was heard on the phone. Deputies responded to the residence, it was a disagreement, parties separated and the deputies cleared the scene.

6:00 p.m. An iPhone crash detection was reported to dispatch. A deputy responded to the area, the phone had fallen off the back of a truck.
