HILLMAN — Spring is right around the corner and Brush Creek Mill is pleased to be reopening today. During the early Spring, the mill will be open Fridays and Saturdays from noon until 4 p.m., or by appointment.

The number of hours the mill is able to be open are directly related to the volunteers able to be involved during operating hours.

People interested in giving their time once or twice a month to volunteer are urged to email or call and a member of staff will respond, as to how you might be able to help.

A reminder that the Grants Presentation Ceremony is slated for Sunday at 3 p.m. It’s a celebratory time being able to provide funds to so many youth oriented activities in the county.

The Teeing Up for Kids golf tournament raised the nearly $16,000 we are awarding this year. If you were a golfer, donor, sponsor, volunteer, we encourage you to attend to witness how your support helps the community.

“We look forward to seeing you at the mill and mark your calendars for the 2026 Teeing Up for Kids golf tournament on Sunday, July 12th,” a press release from the mill says.
