AHS teacher Paula Gehrke wins award from FCCLA

Paula Gehrke, who serves as the instructor of the Alpena High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher Academy and the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Alpena Chapter Advisor was awarded the Spirit of Advising Award by FCCLA. Her outstanding Alpena Chapter of FCCLA has two students, Mazie Walker and Peyton Gohl, serving as statewide officers for FCCLA. In just a few years her Teacher Academy course has produced three current Alpena Public Schools teachers. Her outstanding work continues to impact the community today and into the future!
FCCLA is a student-led organization serving over 245,000 middle and high school students across the nation with organizations at both state and national levels that focus on student service and leadership.
