Jan. 5

9:06 a.m. A verbal dispute was reported in Albert Township. Deputies responded to the residence. One of the parties was trespassed from the residence.

2:56 p.m. A domestic assault was reported in Loud Township. One subject was taken into custody and lodged in Alpena Jail.

5:58 p.m. A downed powerline was reported in Albert Township. Albert Township Fire Department responded and found it to be a communications line and stated it was not a hazard.

9:28 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; a report was taken.

Jan. 6

12:06 a.m. Deputies were requested to a residence in Albert Township to escort an unwanted female off of the property after a dispute. Parties were separated and the female left the property with her belongings.

11:43 a.m. A male subject with a warrant out of Montmorency County was picked up in an adjoining jurisdiction and lodged at Alpena County Jail on the warrant.

11:54 p.m. A vehicle was reported in the ditch in Albert Township. A deputy responded and found the driver to be okay, he slid off due to icy conditions.

Jan. 9

8:29 a.m. A subject that has a seasonal residence in Albert Township called to request a deputy go check on the property. RP states that he saw two male subjects on his camera near the residence. Deputies responded to the residence but didn’t find any evidence that anyone had been there.

10:45 a.m. A Hillman resident was sentenced to spend time in jail. He was taken into custody and transported to Alpena County Jail to be lodged.

1:53 p.m. A report of ice fishing equipment out of the ice with no one around it was called into dispatch. DNR CO and MCSO deputy responded to the scene. It appeared that someone had lost or left the equipment on the ice. There was no emergency.

4:25 p.m. A report of a cow out in the road in Vienna Township was made. Later a call was made requesting a welfare check on the owner of the cow. A deputy responded to the residence, as he was attempting to locate the subject he pulled into the driveway, advised the officer he had been shopping.

11:31 p.m. A passerby came across a vehicle on its roof in the ditch in Vienna Township. MCSO deputies and Vienna Township Fire Department responded to the scene. The female driver was found to be okay, M&D Towing assisted with the recovery of the vehicle.

Jan. 10

11:07 a.m. Dispatch was still receiving calls referencing trees down and blocking roadways in Montmorency County. The Road Commission was advised and worked on getting the roads clear.

6:40 p.m. Deputies responded to an assault in Albert Township. A male had assaulted another driver after an incident on the roadway. The suspected male took off prior to law enforcement arrival but deputies were able to get a description of the vehicle and driver.

7:13 p.m. A vehicle slid through a stop sign and hit a parked car on private property in Briley Township. A deputy responded to the residence and searched for the vehicle but was unable to locate the driver.

11:13 p.m. A driver on the roadway witnessed a slide off and reported it to dispatch after helping to push the vehicle out. The complainant was concerned the driver may have been intoxicated. A deputy responded to the area but was unable to locate the driver.

Jan. 11

8:45 a.m. A commercial alarm was reported in Briley Township. Deputies responded to the building, the building was found to be secure, the deputies left.

9:17 a.m. A verbal dispute was reported in Rust Township; deputies responded to speak with both parties. Parties were separated and the deputies cleared the scene.

11:13 a.m. A two vehicle crash in Vienna Township was reported. Deputies responded to the scene to take the report, Vienna Fire and Tri Township EMS also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

7:29 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

8:19 p.m. A suspicious male was reported in the Village of Hillman. Deputies responded to the area but were unable to locate the described male.
