Nov. 24

7:47 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident in Briley Township. A deputy responded to the residence to find the subject to be fine

11:15 a.m. A deputy transported a male subject to Alpena County Jail to serve 14 days.

12:10 p.m. The Road Commission called to request contact be made with a resident of Hillman Township in regards to a vehicle that would be a hazard when snow arrives. Contact was made and the owner agreed to move the vehicle.

2 p.m. A report was made regarding some damage to property. An MSP Trooper responded to investigate.

7:38 p.m. Hillman Fire Department responded to a grass fire from a downed powerline. PIE&G was contacted to assess the powerline.

11:34 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a female in Briley Township. She was found to be okay, just sleeping.

Nov. 25

10:14 a.m. A welfare check was requested on an Albert Township resident; a deputy responded and spoke with the subject.

Nov. 26

6:28 a.m. A deputy picked up a stray dog in Albert Township; the dog was brought into Elk Country Animal Shelter.

4:10 p.m. Two dogs were found in Albert Township; a deputy picked the two dogs and brought them into ECAS. The owner was later contacted.

6:45 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

9:13 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman; a report was taken.

Nov. 27

1:40 p.m. A lost debit card was brought into MCSO, the owner was contacted to pick the card up.

9:18 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

Nov. 28

3:28 a.m. A dispute was reported in Briley Township; deputies arrived and spoke with both parties and had them separate for the night.

10 p.m. A deputy reported a vehicle in the ditch in Briley Township; a nearby MSP trooper took the complaint.

Nov. 29

2:16 a.m. Deputies responded to a residence in Briley Township for a civil dispute; after arriving on scene the deputies placed one half in custody for an active warrant out of MCSO; the male was lodged in Alpena County Jail.

11:47 a.m. A resident of Briley Township called to request a welfare check on a dog that fell in the creek, a deputy responded the dog was fine and inside the residence.

4:20 p.m. A single vehicle rollover in Albert Township was reported by the driver. No injuries were reported. An MCSO deputy along with Albert Township Fire and EMS responded to the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

4:29 p.m. A single vehicle slide off was reported in Albert Township. An MCSO deputy along with the Albert Township Fire Department responded to the scene. A power pole was broken so PIE&G was notified.

Nov. 30

10:35 a.m. A female coonhound puppy was brought to the MCSO lobby, it was taken to the ECAS.

11:26 a.m. A tree limb was reported laying on a powerline, PIE&G was notified.

2:16 p.m. A hit and run accident was reported at a business in Briley Township. The subject that left was contacted and came back to the scene to exchange information with the other subject.
