If you are a fan of chamber music, pieces written to be performed by small groups in an intimate atmosphere, then plan to attend the Autumn Serenade and such music performed by the Alpena Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and students from the ASO string school.

The Alpena Symphony String School students are directed by Eric Lawson.

The first of the two performances is Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church at 5462 Nicholson Hill Road and the second show is on Nov.2 at 4 p.m. at the First Methodist Church of Alpena at 167 Ripley Blvd.

Both of these performances are free, but donations are always appreciated.
