Alpena Public Schools intends to recognize the contributions of the past school board members during its monthly meeting on Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the school district’s central office. An AHS press release Tuesday said school board members serve in a volunteer capacity and take on the difficult job of representing the community as well as providing leadership and oversight for a vital community asset.

The meeting is open to the public and public comment is welcome.
