One injured in rollover crash in Greenbush Township
On Wednesday, deputies from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to U.S.-23 and Lake Street in Greenbush Township for a one-vehicle rollover crash, according to a Thursday news release from the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old male from Greenbush was traveling northbound on U.S.-23 when he crossed the center line and the southbound lane and entered the southbound ditch. The vehicle hit a driveway embankment, went airborne, collided with some trees, and rolled over.
The driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena by Alcona Emergency Medical Services for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation and alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash.
The Alcona Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Alcona EMS, Greenbush Fire Department, and Greenbush First Responders.
