The Alpena County Road Commission announced Wednesday that work will begin today, weather permitting, on the Long Rapids Road Signing Project.

The project is located on Long Rapids Road, from west of Graham to Woodland Drive. The project will consist of horizontal curve and intersection signing upgrades.

Shoulder closures will be utilized for the work zones and traffic delays are possible. The Alpena County Road Commission would like to thank you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to improve the county road system.

The project is anticipated to take approximately one week to complete.

General Contractor on the project is Give em’ A Brake Safety of Traverse City.
