The Alpena High School boys’ cross country team placed eighth out of 17 teams represented in the Division 1 Green Race at the Michigan State Cross Country Invitational on Friday.
Alexander Allen led the way for the Wildcats with a ninth-place finish.
Elizabeth Barnhill in 37th place led the AHS girls as they finished 19th out of 22 teams.
The Wildcats will race again on Sept. 21 at the Petoskey Invitational.
